Obituary of Edna M. O'Neil

Edna M. O'Neil, 95, a resident of Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, NJ, formerly of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at the nursing home. Born on January 25, 1914 in Great Meadows, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John Goarcke and MaryAnn Burdge Goarcke. Mrs. O'Neil had worked in the Belvidere High School cafeteria for over 12 years before retiring. Edna had enjoyed crocheting, and had crocheted many lap robes for Veterans. Mrs. O'Neil was predeceased by her husband, Edward M. O'Neil, who died June 17, 1976 and a brother, J. Howard Goarcke, who died April 14, 2005. Surviving are a son, Edward M. O'Neil Jr. and his wife Mary and their children, Edward M. O'Neil III, Sherry L. LaBarre, James C. O'Neil and Joseph D. O'Neil; a daughter, Esther M. Sweigert and her children, Kent E. Sweigert, Karen Finocchio, Donna L. Hess, and Michael J. Sweigert; a son, John J. O'Neil and his wife Brenda and their children, Brian C. O'Neil, Darin E. O'Neil, and John K. O'Neil; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Contributions are requested to be made in her memory to Belvidere Ambulance Corps, P.O.
