Carol Ann Porphy died suddenly on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was 68. Born in Maspeth NY on May 3, 1941 to the late Francis and Georgine (Latima) Krepela, she was a resident of Budd Lake since 1962, and then moved to Belvidere in 1990. She was a teacher's aide for the Mountain View School in Flanders for over 25 years, before retiring in 1990. Mrs. Porphy was predeceased by her husband Willam G. Porphy who died in September 1993. Survivors include two sons, William of Budd Lake, and Jeffrey of Harrison, NY; her daughter Dawn Schnezler and her husband Edward of Belvidere; a brother Francis Krepela of Medford NY; and seven grandchildren; Edward, Dana, Thomas and Robert Schnezler, and Ava, Asher, and Griffin Porphy.
