Bernard F. Flaherty, 84, of the Brookfield section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Mr. Flaherty was the maintenance supervisor for Maxwell House, Hoboken, NJ before retiring. Born in County Galway, Ireland on October 15, 1925, he was the son of the late John and Agnes Donlon Flaherty. Mr. Flaherty was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Theresa A. Walsh Flaherty; three children, Michael of Secaucus, Kevin of Washington Twp. Bergen Co., and Tara Acquaviva of Secaucus; six grandchildren, Holly and Amber Flaherty, Vanessa Bustamante, Samantha Acquaviva, Jason Flaherty and Stacey Mizeski; three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Marissa Mizeski and Angelo Bustamante; a sister, Theresa Kulik.
