Obituary of Harry M. Rudio

Harry M. Rudio, 78, of the Brookfield section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born on March 4, 1932 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of the late H. Myron and Mary Mahon Rudio. Mr. Rudio was a part time security receptionist for NABISCO after retiring as a sales manager for the business systems. Mr. Rudio had served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Seton Hall Preparatory School and went on to Notre Dame University and University of Vermont. Mr. Rudio was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ; a former parishioner and lector of St. Virgilius' R.C. Church, Morris Plains, NJ; a member of the American Legion, Post 130, Belvidere; Knights of Columbus, Morris Plains; he was a past president of the Butterworth Civic Association; he served as the chairman of the Drug Abuse Council, Morris Township; Twin Town Tigers Football and Little League coach. Mr. Rudio became a Seton Hall Knight at their 50th Anniversary. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rudio was predeceased by a sister, Mary Lou Cowan. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Jean Trudell; two sons, Harry M. III and his wife Diana of Newton, NJ and their children, Catharine and Melanie; Gary M. and his wife Patricia of Byram Township, NJ and their children, Megan and Aislinn. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in his memory to St. Joseph's Church, 414 North Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201 for the Notre Dame Community Center.
