Robert H. Hildebrant, Sr., 86, a lifelong resident of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, NJ. Mr. Hildebrant, along with his wife, was the owner and operator of Bob's Fuel Oil Service for 30 years before retiring in 1981. Born on September 20, 1923 in Belvidere, NJ, he was the son of the late Raymond and Helen Featherman Hildebrant. Bob had served in the U.S. Army during WWII, stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Belvidere United Methodist Church for over 60 years. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Joyce Hornbaker Hildebrant; three sons, Robert H. Jr. and his wife Shirlee, Bruce and his wife Dorothy, and Brad L. and his wife Robin; two grandchildren, Wendy Riley and Brian Hildebrant; two great-grandchildren, Glenn and Hope Rodel; a sister, Elizabeth Smith. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in his memory to Belvidere United Methodist Church, 219 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ 07823.
