Obituary of Luana B. Good

Luana B. Good, 94, of White Township, NJ, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Twp., NJ where she had been a resident since November 16, 2011. Born on August 4, 1917 in Clear Lake, MN, she was the daughter of the late Christian H. and Frances Knerr Klein. Luana was a 1936 graduate of Easton High School. She had moved to Belvidere in 1948. Luana retired in 1979 from IMCO Container Company, Belvidere, NJ. Mrs. Good was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere where she served on the Board of Deacons. She was a 61 year member and past matron of Warren Chapter No. 128 Order of the Eastern Star, Belvidere, now merged with Delaware Chapter No. 50. Mrs. Good also served as past District Deputy of the Thirteenth District. Luana was married for 60 years to Paul S. Good, who preceded her in death in 1997. She was also predeceased by a grandson, Michael Good in 1969 and her brother, Francis Klein in 1999. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, but most of all a great cook. She loved cooking and spent countless hours in her kitchen preparing many delicious meals. Surviving are a daughter, Janet N. Nooitgedagt and her husband Hildbrand of Forks Twp., PA; a son, Paul H. Good and his wife Janis of White Twp., NJ; grandchildren, Nanci Nooitgedagt Hummer, Scott Good, Peter Nooitgedagt, Patricia Good Meyers and her husband Troy, Paul Wusow and Heather Zaleski; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Colton, Griffin and Gavin Hummer and Kasadi Rae Nooitgedagt; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Beulah Good of Tatamy, PA; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Klein of Easton, PA; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in her memory to the United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere, 224 Mansfield Street, Belvidere, NJ 07823.
