Obituary of Thelma S. Quincy Taylor Berger

Thelma S. Quincy Taylor Berger, 94, formerly of Columbia, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, NJ. Born on April 4, 1921 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Horace R. Scarlett and Sadie Metzgar Scarlett. Thelma had lived most of her life in the Columbia area and spent twenty-two winters in Mesa, AZ. Thelma was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belvidere. In addition to her parents, Thelma was predeceased by her first husband of 19 years, Earl Wm. Quincy, who died in 1965; her second husband of 28 years, William Taylor, who died in 1995; her third husband of five years, Irvin Berger, who died in 2007; three brothers, Floyd, John and Thomas R. Scarlett. Surviving are a step-daughter, Sandra Patterson; three step-sons, Larry, Davis, and Neil Berger; four nieces; a nephew; many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
