Obituary of Madelon Dennis

Madelon Dennis, 90, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2016 at her home with her loving family at her side. Born on November 3, 1925 in Washington, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Ruth Bowers Miller. She graduated from Washington High School in 1944. Madelon had worked as a research assistant at Consumers Research. Madelon was a member of the Belvidere United Methodist Church. Madelon enjoyed many family activities; picnics, holidays, baking Christmas cookies, decorating the Christmas tree. She was an avid reader and enjoyed challenges of crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, Madelon was predeceased by her husband, John Francis Dennis, who died April 12, 1995 and her son, John, who died at birth. Surviving are her seven children, Lois Spangler and her husband Larry of Blairstown, Susan Dennis of Belvidere, Rosalie Haller of Belvidere, Elizabeth Scott and her husband Chris of Pen Argyl, PA, Steven Dennis and his wife Colleen of Belvidere, Frank Dennis and his wife Jo Ann of Bethlehem, PA, Margaret Beers and her husband Jim of Roseto, PA; seven grandchildren, Hanch Haller, Robert Spangler, Becky Stewart, Julia Dennis, Kristin Dennis, Nicole Dennis, and Olivia Burger; a great-granddaughter, Lilly Burger. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 12, 2016 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ. Interment will follow in Belvidere Cemetery.
