Obituary of Julius Frank Claussen

Julius Frank Claussen, 98, of Chelsea, White Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at St. Luke's Warren Campus. Born on July 2, 1918 in Easton, PA, Frank was the son of the late Julius and Jeanette Clarkson Claussen. He had lived in Westfield, NJ, Whispering Pines, NC, before moving to White Township. Frank was a Captain of a Submarine Chaser in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He was a graduate of Lafayette College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was the former owner of Byrne Compressed Air, Bronx, NY before retiring. Frank was an avid golfer achieving four hole-in-ones. He was a 30+year member of the Whispering Pines Country Club. Surviving are a son, Robert F. Claussen and his wife Mary Ellen; grandchildren, Robert F. Claussen, Jr. and his wife Tina, Forrest Stone, Shannon Stone and his wife Allison; a great-granddaughter, Talia Claussen; a great-grandson, Adam Stone. A Memorial Service will be held 6:30 PM, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ.
