James E. Thomas, Sr., 84 of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2016 at the Care Center of Lopatcong. Born in Bangor, PA on June 7, 1932, he was the son of the late Bernard Thomas and Iva Nicklas. Jim had served in the U.S. Army. A hard working man, Jim was self-employed as a Johanna Farms milkman. He also worked for Alpha Tool Company. Jim was a handyman until he became handicapped at the age of 49, but never let it stop him. He fought through the struggles of his failing health. His favorite thing to do was to go out for a ride each day. Jim will be deeply missed. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Patricia Barbaro Thomas; three sons, Danny, Gene, and James Jr.; two daughters, Vicki Thomas and Terri Hummer; one brother; seven sisters; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ. Interment will follow in the Belvidere Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
