Obituary of Joyce H Schaap

Joyce H. Schaap, 93, passed away at the Lopatcong Care Center on March 7 after a short illness. She was 93. Born in Bangor PA to the late Calvin and Helen (Sandt) Parson, she has been a resident of New Jersey for several years. Mrs. Schaap was the office manager for her husband's upholstery company in upstate New York for many years. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew in 2006 and 3 sisters, Iva Stout, Norma Hazen and Virginia Parson. Mrs. Schaap is survived by two brothers, Alvin Parson and his wife Anna, Dale 'Nip' Parson and his wife Joan, stepchildren James and Cleora, and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by the MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ 07823 (908) 475-2210. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 11 AM to 12 Noon. A funeral service will follow at 12 Noon with the Rev. Pamela Szurek officiating. A cremation and entombment will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery in New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of donations to your favorite animal welfare organization in Joyce's memory.
