George Rudeau, 90, of Belvidere, NJ, passed peacefully on March 21, 2017 at the Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, NJ with his loving family by his side. George was born on September 27, 1926 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Joseph Rudeau and Lillian Egan. George married Alice Faltings of Queens, NY and were married for 63 years before Alice's passing on July 18, 2015. Alice and George met while working in New York City. After living in Queens, NY for a while, they found their way to Hillsborough, NJ where they had a family of seven children and eventually retired to Belvidere, NJ. George and Alice are survived by their seven children, Jane of Charlotte, NC, Bob of Indianapolis, IN, Jim of Mt. Airy, Md., Tom of Belvidere, NJ, Bill of Flemington, NJ; Sue of Milford, DE, and John of Clinton, NJ; thirteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. George was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, an avid fisherman, gardener, and wood worker. Of most importance was spending time with his family. He loved baseball and was pitcher for the Army Air Corps World League during WWII. The Guam Graveyarders won the Guam World Series in 1946, behind hurler George Rudeau by fanning 20 batters in the championship game. George founded his own chemical and minerals sales business, Rudeau Industrial Sales, in the early 1970's. George and Alice are now reunited and will continue their beautiful relationship in heaven. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ will be private under the direction of MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere, NJ.
