Obituary of Robert A. Morrison

Robert A. Morrison, II, 88, of the Country View section of White Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the home of his daughter.

Born on September 6, 1928 in Bayonne, NJ, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Thelma Belden Morrison.

Bob was a tractor trailer driver for the Teamsters Union before retiring.

He served in the Navy during WWII as an engineman on the USS Agawam.

Bob was a member of the V.F.W. in Calabash, NC. He enjoyed bowling in the senior league at Bel-Pike Lanes. He was also an avid NY Mets and NY Giants fan.

Robert was predeceased by his wife, Betty Jane Hudson Morrison, who died in 2010.

Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Lindner and her husband Herbert; a son, Robert A. Morrison, III and his wife Staci; four grandchildren, Michele Emery and her husband Bob, Jocelyn Lindner, Brook Flynn and her husband Tim, and Joshua Morrison; six great-grandchildren, Brett, Alexandria, Colin, and Dylan Emery, Jack and Lindsey Flynn.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ. Interment of his cremated remains with military honors will follow in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
