Charles A. Hoffman, Jr., 87, of the Bridgeville section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at his home. Born on June 16, 1930 in Washington, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles A. Hoffman and Helen Mae Read. Charles was a 1949 graduate of Belvidere High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5193 in Belvidere, NJ. Charlie was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Belvidere, NJ for many years before retiring. He was also a lifetime farmer. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying both fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his wife, Marion Oliver Hoffman, who died June 1, 2016. Surviving are a brother, Eugene E. Hoffman, Easton, PA; several nephews and nieces. Interment will follow in the Belvidere Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM to the time of service.
