Obituary of Theresa Chabala

Theresa Chabala, 88, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday August 27, 2018 at St. Luke's Warren, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born on September 12, 1929 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was one of eight children born to Alexander and Eleanor Iwicki Perkowski. Theresa attended public schools and resided in Wilkes-Barre, PA before she moved to New Jersey with her late husband Albert. She and husband had enjoyed weekends at the Jersey Shore campgrounds in their beloved "taggy". Theresa was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ. In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Albert; brothers, Edward and Leonard Perkowski; sisters, Florence Flanley and Irene Balko. Surviving are her daughter, Sheryl "Sherri" Durholz and husband James; grandson, Aaron Durholz all of Columbia, NJ; sister, Lillian Smith of Madison Heights, MI; brothers, Joseph Perkowski of Wilkes-Barre, PA and Stanley Perkowski of Kingston, PA; many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Friday, August 31, 2018 at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Friday at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ.
