Obituary of Alvin Franklin Parson

Alvin "Cy" F. Parson, 85, of Broadway, NJ, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at St. Luke's Warren, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born on August 22, 1933 in Bangor, PA, he was the son of the late Calvin and Helen Sandt Parson. Cy was a graduate of the Culinary School of Connecticut. He had been the Food Service Supervisor for Warren Haven Nursing Home, Oxford, NJ before retiring. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere. Cy had enjoyed game shows, word puzzles, feeding the birds and other wildlife and cooking. He was especially fond of Soaring Eagles. In addition to his parents, Cy was predeceased by four sisters, Iva Stout, Norma Hazen, Virginia Parson and Joyce Schaap. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Anna Frederick Parson; two sons, Brian of Harmony Township, NJ and Clark of Swedesboro, NJ; two grandchildren, Jessica and Christopher Parson; a brother, Dale "Nip" Parson and his wife Joan of Pleasant Hill, MO; several nephews and nieces. Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM, Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ. Friends may call from 2:00 PM to the time of service. Interment will be private in the Belvidere Cemetery.
