Obituary of Ronald Stanwick

Ronald Stanley Stanwick, 76, of White Township, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at home with his loving family at his side.

Born on August 9, 1942 in St. Peter's Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ, he was the son of the late Stanley and Agnes Smith Stanwick.

Ron grew up in South River, NJ and attended Middlesex County Vocational and Technical School in New Brunswick where he graduated in 1962. Ron had joined the U.S. Navy and attended Machinery Repairman School, being selected as the Honor Man of his class. He had worked for Thomas and Betts Corp. in their Research and Development Department before establishing his own business, Artisan Model Mold, in 1981. His company produced prototype injection molds and short-run molding products.

Ron was a member of the Mountain Tae Kwon Do, obtaining the level of Black Belt; Shongum Sportsmen's Association; American Engineering Model Society. He was published in American Machinist magazine. Ron held many patents on his own inventions and was also a judge for "Invent America" in Washington, DC. Ronald was a teacher of Vocational Technological Occupations and Machine Trades at New Brunswick Vocational School. He taught Machine Shop Labs I and II at Warren County Technical School, Washington, NJ.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Paula Strus Stanwick; two children, Shannon S. Carlson and her husband Shawn and Jonathan R. Stanwick and his wife Lauren Proud Stanwick; beloved grandson, Brayden Andrew Carlson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ with Military Honors following. Entombment will be in the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge, NJ. Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in Ron's memory to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
