Obituary of Kathryn R. Beers

Kathryn R. Beers, 86, of Harmony Township, NJ, Passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 9, 1933 in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Kathryn (Hank) Shoemaker.

Kate or as many would know her as "Honey", worked as a bookkeeper and a secretary for Kenneth C. Beers Builders Inc. and for the Belvidere Hotel. She served as an active member of the Harmony Township Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for many years.

She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, taking many cruises and vacations, as well as being a "snowbird" and traveling to Florida for many years. Kate also enjoyed snowmobiling, gardening her yellow tomato plants, traveling to her A frame cabin in PA and her many RV trips across the country.

Surviving are her children, Kenneth C. Beers Jr. and his wife, Patricia, David Beers and his wife, Elaine, And Karen Richards and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Kenneth C. III, Ryan K., Kim and Kyle Beers, Chris Counterman and Robert Richards and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ 07823. Interment will follow at the Montana Cemetery, Harmony Twp., NJ. Friends and family may call from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at MacFadden Funeral Home.
