Obituary of Nancy T. Nieuzytek

Nancy T. Nieuzytek (nee Mulligan), 86, of Belvidere, NJ passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020.  Nancy was a loving wife, mother and Nana.  She was a beautiful soul and a shining light in the lives of all she met.

Nancy was born in Newark, NJ December 12, 1933 to the late Madeline and Francis Mulligan. Nancy and her family lived in Livingston, NJ for 40 years prior to moving to Belvidere 18 years ago.  Nancy spent many years as a homemaker, nurturing her family.  She then spent 10 years working for Dr. Orleans, a pediatrician, where she enjoyed taking care of many children.

Nancy loved music and filled her home with the “Chairman of the Board” Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley among many others of the era.  She loved the water and was the happiest when she was in the pool doing laps or at the ocean. She loved spending summers at Ortley Beach, NJ where she could always be found on the rides with her children and grandson.  She loved spending time with her grandson, playing in the pool and attending all of his games.  Since retiring, she loved spending her winters in Coco Beach, FL.  She was proud of her Irish Heritage and always enjoyed celebrating, especially at St. Patrick’s Day.  She enjoyed many years with her dearest of friends, the “Frogs” and gathering with her Red Hat Ladies where she proudly wore the purple and red.

Nancy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Steven W. Nieuzytek, adoring children Susan Gechtman and husband Peter, Kathleen Rice, Scott Nieuzytek and wife Naomi;  precious grandson Michael Rice; her furry granddogs Scout, Nikita, Coco and Bear.  She is also survived by a sister Dorothy Bosi and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by son Steven P. Nieuzytek and siblings Robert, Richard and Diane.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere. NJ. Interment will follow in the Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ. Friends may call from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ.
