Obituary of Rose R. Palumbo

Rose Rachel Palumbo, 89, of the Brookfield section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on July 18, 2020 at St. Luke's Warren Campus, Phillipsburg, NJ.

Rose was born in Calabria, Italy to Concetta and Augustino Macedonio in 1931 and came to the United States when she was 10 months old. She lived in Harrison and Colonia, before moving to Belvidere in 2001.

She worked at The Prudential Insurance Company for many years before becoming the wonderful mother to her son.

She was a member of The Rosarian Society and the St. Anthony PTA. Rose was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ.

Rose is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Anthony of Belvidere, and her son Anthony Jr, daughter-in-law Dory, and granddog Tucker of Independence, NJ. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her sister, Marion Confessore.

We were so very blessed with her presence, but now she goes on to a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. She will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, July 23, 2020 at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Belvidere. Friends may call from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM Thursday at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere.
