Obituary of Walter J. DeMoss
Walter J. DeMoss, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 10, 2020.
Born on August 23, 1943 in Plainfield, NJ, "Wally", as he was known, was the son of the late William and Catherine (Caswell) DeMoss.
Wally served in the US Coast Guard Squadron 3 during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association.
He was a loan officer at the United National Bank in Plainfield, NJ for 25 years. He also worked at Unity Bank and Hopewell Valley Community Bank.
An avid outdoorsman, Wally loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking, including building furniture and refinishing antiques.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Annick Hendershot DeMoss; daughters, Stephanie DeMoss, Jessica Saraiva & husband Victor, Brittany DeMoss, and Hannah DeMoss; many cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his brother Thurston.
Wally will always be thankful for his best hunting dogs, Abigail and Gina, and his companion dog Ben.
Memorial Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 4-6 PM at the MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ, A Time of Remembrance with Military Honors will follow starting at 6 PM.
