Obituary of Edward Noah Hay

Edward Noah Hay, 79, Belvidere, NJ, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at St. Luke’s Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ.

Born on April 26, 1941 in Wilson, PA, he was the son of the late Edward Fox Hay and Constance Virginia Walters.

Ed was a 1959 graduate of Belvidere High School.  He went on to serve in the US Navy on the USS Farragut from 1959 to 1963.  Ed had worked as a maintenance operations manager for M & M Mars for 25 years. Following his retirement, Ed was an instructor at Career Institute of Technology (College of Northampton).

Ed was an avid fisherman and boater. He enjoyed water skiing and composing poetry. Most of all, Ed enjoyed spending time with his family to whom he was staunchly devoted.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Mildred (Milly) Norman Hay; three children, Mary Yetter and her husband Andrew, Edward Hay and his wife Catherine Zombory, and Kristine Phipany and her husband Mark; four grandchildren, David Phipany, Joseph Phipany, Samantha Hay, and Edward Hay; great-granddaughter, Lydia Phipany; a brother, William Hay and his wife Rose.

Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ with Reverend Sherry Blackman officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to the time of service.
