William P. Budzek, 90, of the Brookfield section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, formerly of Branchburg, NJ, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Easton Hospital, Wilson Borough, PA. Born on July 19, 1923 in Hopelawn, NJ, he was the son of the late John and Veronica (Shapinetz) Budzek. Mr. Budzek had lived in Branchburg, NJ before moving to Brookfield over ten years ago. Mr. Budzek was a color matcher for Union Carbide, Bound Brook for many years before retiring. He had served in the Army during WWII in Company B 28th Infantry Battalion receiving a Purple Heart, Asiatic Pacific Theater ribbon with a Bronze Star, and European African Middle Eastern Theater ribbon with Three Bronze Stars. Mr. Budzek was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ. He was a proud member of both, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Dorothy (Kazimir) Budzek; four children, Kenneth Budzek and his wife Slawa, Jeffery Budzek and his wife Juanita, Lynda Lettieri and her husband Bernie, and Lisa Burr and her husband Roger; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
