Obituary of Wayne J. Borawski

Wayne Joseph Borawski, 86 of Belvidere, NJ passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethelhem, PA.

Wayne was born in Saybrook, CT to Joseph Borawski and Mary Senna from Bound Brook NJ. They had moved back to Middlesex, NJ where the family added sisters, Diane and Geraldine and a brother, Kenneth, who died on June 17, 2022.

Wayne joined the National Guard at the age of 17 and served in the Army during the Korean War.

He worked in construction in NJ for many years before working for the Somerset Parks Commission until his retirement in 2016.

Wayne was predeceased in death by his wife of 27 years, Dorothy Popelka in 2018 and a dear friend, Barbara Walker in 2021.

Surviving are his sisters, Diane Cavanagh of Southport, NC and Geraldine Jones of Wilmington, NC; sister-in-law, Marralee Borawski of Whitleville, TN; serveral nephews and nieces.

Wayne will be laid to rest with his wife Dottie at the Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover, NJ.
