Condolences
My heartfelt condolences to the family of Jackie Godino on the loss of this deeply loving person. I have been a neighbor of Jackie's for over twenty years and have developed a very close friendship with her over this time. I got to know all her dogs over the years and shared a love of animals with her. Many of Jackie's dogs started out as rescues, not expected to live long due to age or health issues. Her love and dedication to these animals not only gave them a wonderful time until the end of their life, which was usually much later than expected at the time she rescued them.
Jackie spent much of the year gardening which she loved and always had beautifully kept shrubs in the front of her house and a backyard that was full of flowers in the warm weather. Jackie and I became close, chatting over the fence. I suggested her as a caregiver for my ailing Mother and they developed a close friendship in the time they were together.
I considered Jackie amongst my closest friends and will miss her deeply.
May God be with her family as they grieve their loss, and remember all the good times that will always stay with them.
Q: How did you meet Jacquelyn?
A: I first met Jackie through my brother Tom and my sister in law Diane who lived next door. She was simply delightful!
She then took care of my mom Janice for a few months and my mom never looked so good as she was “dolled” up with make up and curled hair!
Truly, she was a dear and lovely lady who will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Jackie's passing. I knew her because I delivered mail to her for many years in Belvidere. She was a sweet, kind, funny, friendly person. She will be missed. I remember buying my Mom's 1987 cavalier car back from her, after her son was done with it. He bought it from my Mom to use to go to college. Great memories! The car finally died 2 years ago!
I am sorry to hear of the loss of Jackie, her family, friends and the world lost a person with a kind heart. I remember her from working at Hagedorn Hospital.
As an awkward teenager, I always thought of Jackie as the glamorous big sister to my dear Sue. I remember her fondly as a warm-hearted beautiful woman. I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to reconnect with her these past few years. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Eternal rest grant onto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
With love, Jeanne
I am so sorry and sad for your loss. Jackie was an amazing friend and neighbor of over 20 years. I am going to miss our time together and all our front porch talks. We shared the love of animals and I know the world was a better place while Jackie was in it. She was always saving the shelter dogs that no one else wanted. She was passionate about her gardens and loved spending time outside. We would talk across the fence solving our own and the world's problems. I will miss her so much and send my condolences to her family whom I've gotten to know over the years. My heart aches for you all. I love and miss you Jackie!
