Condolences
Mr. Alampi was one of my very favorite teachers back (WAY back) at Hackettstown Middle School. I remember when he married Linda, and we silly girls were all atwitter. I have often wondered where he was and was saddened to read his obituary. Condolences to his family and Godspeed to him.
Just learning of Mr. Alampi's passing, and just wanted to share with the family some of my most fond memories @ BHS included him. When I felt no confidence in cheerleading or flag twirling, it was Mr. Alampi who taught me how to keep stats...which allowed me to thoroughly enjoy football season and learn the game. I had the pleasure of being in his CIE/Work-Study program my senior year, and he really made an impact on me. My condolences go out to your family.

Dear Linda, Michael & Melissa,
First and foremost please accept our deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband and father.
Dan & I enjoyed many years together in the Belvidere School System since 1973. He ALWAYS made me laugh: whether it was at a BEA Christmas gathering, negotiations, busting me over a salami sandwich,or just in our daily school routine. He was a great: teacher, coach, dad, grandfather and friend.
He opened several gyms early in the morning to exercise. When others would enter Dan gave them a cheerful hello. Everyone knew Dan. This was true in Washington and Pburg. He was, as in the show Cheers, the “Norm”, of the gyms. As time changed, so did Dan. Later he would walk into Wegman’s and everyone knew him!
NOW, he’s with his parents, as well as Harry & Evelyn,in heaven. As he joined them I’m sure they all gave him a hello. Dan’s now the “Norm” in a better place.
RIP my friend.

I’m am so sorry that mine did not leave my family and me in Belvidere today to celebrate with you Mr Alampi’s life and share with you and all your friends and families our fondest memories. Sending my condolences to Danny's family. I am sorry for your loss. I remember him well. He lived right across the street from me on North Street in West Pittston when we were in school, in the 50's. We played together so many times, along with several other of our class mates who lived on that same street. We climbed trees, played hide and seek, baseball, kick the can, marbles, and more. He was a kind and wonderful kid and our group had many wonderful days of fun and occasional fights. But at some point he moved away. May he rest in peace. Shirley Lepore
You were a mentor to me before that word was used in education and I learned many things from you. And you helped often when needed. Thanks for all you did for so many.
Your friend.
Neil
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Mike, Missy, Mrs. Alampi,
So sorry for your loss. I have so many happy, lasting memories of spending many days and nights with your family. My heart broke when you moved to PA but thanks to our parents, Mike and I were able to keep our friendship, play dates, and sleepovers. Watching college bowl games, going to Phillies games, listening to Billy Joel on Mr. Alampi’s stereo, playing in your pool, shooting hoops in your driveway, going for a ride in his sports car, going to bowling birthday parties, playing pickle, so many board games, basement carnival games we made up, Shasta soda, Heidi the dog, playing D&D, scoring TDs in the sunken field on Knowlton, listening to Mr. A call games on the radio or at BHS, scavenger hunts, home-made pizza and powdered sugar on crystals…these are just a few of the things Mr. and Mrs. Alampi made happen for me and Mike in our childhood. Your family always invited me, welcomed me, and treated me as one of you. Mr. Alampi and family was an important part of my life. It is not forgotten and often remembered fondly, as is he. Thank you for days of fun, feeding me hundreds of meals, and letting me sleepover every time we asked. Love, Tim
