I am hoping that I have the correct Dan Alampi. My apologies if I do not.
Mr. Alampi was my 4th grade teacher at Marie V. Duffy school in Wharton, NJ. The school year was 1968-1969. It was an interesting school year for both of us.
On January 3, 1969, we were practicing football, carrying the “ball” and blocking.
Unfortunately, while practicing, Mr. Alampi lost his balance and fell on me, which resulted in me breaking my left femur.
I have been looking for Mr. Alampi for years. I’m sorry I didn’t find him sooner. I wanted to let him know that I feel, at 65, that my life has turned out great. I have a bachelor degree in electrical engineering from Penn State and a family with 4 kids.
I wanted to thank Mr. Alampi, because he had a great, positive influence on my life.
I wish Mr. Alampi’s family peace and fond memories of him.
