Obituary of Helen Miller Haupt

Helen Miller Haupt, M.D., 78 of Philadelphia, PA, formerly of Camden, NJ and Belvidere, NJ, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.

Born on May 26, 1946 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Clement Haupt and Helen Miller Haupt. She grew up in the small Town of Belvidere and was a graduate of Belvidere High School.

Dr. Haupt was a pathologist in Camden, NJ specializing in the areas of anatomic and clinical pathology, as well as cytopathology. Having over 43 years in the medical field, she was affiliated with Cooper University Health Care-Camden. She was American Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and American Board Certified in Cytopathology.

Dr. Haupt received her medical degree from John Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1981, a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology from 1981-1983 at John Hopkins University Hospital, a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology from 1983-1984 at New York Presbyterian Hospital (Cornell Campus), a fellowship in cytopathology from 1985-1986 at John Hopkins University Hospital.

Dr. Haupt was also a professor of Pathology at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. She had received several citations for her many publications and presentations.

Surviving are her many dear friends and close colleagues.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00PM Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ. Burial will follow in the Belvidere Cemetery. Calling hours are from 12Noon to the time of service at the funeral home.
