Condolences
I am so sorry for the loss of your father and grandfather, Cec Cornish. Both he and Mary Margaret were an important part of our lives when Ron and I were first married in 1971. Cec gave Ron all sorts of jobs that helped us out financially during those first years of our marriage and I know that Ron always felt close to all the Cornishes. Also, Ron's mom, Arline Roemmelt liked to tell stories of school days growing up with Cec in Belvidere. I think everyone in the Roemmelt family has a Cec Cornish story to tell.
Please accept my sincere sympathy.
Harriet Roemmelt Dufton
Dan and Cecil,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Our lives are guided by the direction we receive as children. "Big Cec" gave us all great direction. I am fortunate to have grown up as neighbors and to have an "extra set" of parents as I felt I did with Mary Margaret and Cec.
As I reflect back upon my life, the guidance, demonstration of a solid work ethic and fairness that I received and saw from Cec has helped me as much as my own fathers guidance. Thanks Cec Cornish for your guidance and friendship.
Rest gently brave soldier.
Sincerely,
H.Gayle Gulick
Dear Cornish Family,
I am merely a nurse from St. Luke's Hospital who knew you Dad and Grandfather for a brief period during his time at our hospital, but in that short time he managed to make a very large impression on my heart. I am thankful he is finally at peace and no longer suffering. I am blessed to have known him and glad I took the time to learn the lessons he was there to teach me. In no time at all I could see he was a man of great character. We shared some life stories with each other, for when all was quiet he seemed to have the need to talk. As we learned more about one another we would say to the other "just another small piece of the puzzle." You are all a part of his big puzzle. Know that within each of you there is a piece of him and take comfort in that....but most of all past it on, and keep passing it on for all generations to come. That is the best way you can honor him.
Deepest Sympathies,
Michelle
So sorry to hear of Cecil's passing. I will always have the fondest memories of my first job at the Short Stop with your father (and mother). I do believe the work ethic I have and use today were received by my experience with the Cornish family. May Cecil rest in peace and may happy memories come your way.
Danny & Cecil, We are very sorry for your loss. We will always remember the great times we had at your home in Belvidere at Thanksgiving where your mom & dad were excellent hosts. Irv & Marnie
Danny and Cecil,
Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your dad Cecil. I have many happy memories of spending time in your parent's kitchen while my dad was working with your dad on some project or sharing a cup of coffee. Both your parents were wonderful people and were much loved by my entire family.
Love and prayers to you and your family, Ronda Roemmelt Prokopchak
