Condolences
Deepest sympathy to Nick and Marianne and all your families. George was a constant in Delaware and a good friend to my family. He will rest in a better place we can only hope to rise too. Wanda
To the family, I'm sorry for your loss. George often spoke warmly and caringly of his family. He was a true and loyal friend as well as a memorable teacher of history at NHS. He knew his field and taught it well. I will not forget him or Marion for the many favors done in opening doors for me in my career, for which I am and shall always be grateful. But, first and foremost, I will remember the good times and hearty laughs we shared together. He was a great yarner and exquisite story teller. I remember him when as a boy I watched him contribute much to his country and local communities, all to the good. Thanks for so much, George. See ya later!
Mr. Marshall was my American History teacher at Newton High School in 1967-68.
He was smart, funny and inspiring. In large part because of him I, too, became a history teacher and am now finishing my 37th in education.
Rest in peace, Mr. Marshall

So sorry to hear of George's passing. My father, Bill Seguine, worked at the Farm Market for a number of years. He always treated my father well and I appreciate the time he allowed my dad to work at the stand and keep busy in his later years. I will always remember the decorations for Halloween and learning to make homemade peanut butter in the store. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
My many thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I never personally met George, but the pictures in George's office capture the sparkle in his eyes and overall pride on his face. The stories George shared with me about his grandfather are ones of joy and true strength. I am sure he will be sadly missed by you all and I hope you will be comforted by knowing that he will always be a part of your lives and his memory will live on in your future generations. Love to you all, Andrea
So sorry for your loss, Marianne. My last memory...He was standing next to his blue pickup truck parked behind the stand...smoking his pipe. A wonderful gentleman. With Love and Condolences, Janet McElmoyl
Dear Marianne, Nick, and Family,
I heard about Uncle George from my mother yesterday. It's been a long time but I have many fond memories of him when we visited you in Belvidere when we were small and getting together at Lake Hopatcong. As a child I remember his warm smile and friendly eyes that made him so comfortable to be with - especially for a shy little girl. Actually, Uncle George was the one who taught me how to get rid of the hiccups! We were visiting you and I got a terrible case of thie hiccups and he took me aside and carefully instructed me how to hold my breath and drink water -- and it still works today.
I'm sure all of you take comfort knowing he's now at peace.
Fondy & with symapthy,
Jane Fisher Swiggett

Have know Mr. Marshall for 48 years.
George was always a fine gentleman. His contagious laugh and many stories were always a joy. And his love for his family in large and small ways was always evident. Will remember him holding his pipe, sitting in his pick-up truck, and eating fresh ripened strawberries from his field. And of course, telling a joke or two. Have a drink for us up there, George! We will miss you!
