Dear Sarah and family, i just learned of your loss through a 4-H Department retiree newsletter. I am so sorry!
John was one of my all time favorite colleagues. Working with him was so much fun and I loved hearing all about your wonderful (now grown, with their own!) children. You are in my prayers as is the repose of his soul. I am sure he is in Heaven singing our Dear Lord’s praises LOUD and clear. If he hasn’t changed since the days we worked together, I believe he will sneak back down from heaven to sing in your ear... ♥️
Sarah and Family,
It is with much sadness that I send you my deepest sympathy and prayer for your comfort. John was a wonderful person and I am blessed to have known him. He rests now, with our Lord. His earthly fight has ended and he is on to be a warrior angel. I bet he will have some different stories to tell us at the next time we meet. His service was fabulous. So glad to have shared that with you all.
Much Love,
Dee Antonow
Mr. D was actually one of my high school teachers. Remember him in FFA. Great guy and amazing smile. Always welcoming and a great start to my day. My condolences to his family and friends.
I actually heard about John's passing during a staff meeting when Chuck Paolino asked us all to pray for John because he had just received the email from the diocese. I am so sorry that I can't be there for his mass. I have so many wonderful memories of John as we both served the St. Patrick's community. He gave such wonderful homilies. I remember that even as a teenager, I left feeling spiritually nourished when he preached.
Please know that the whole family will be in my prayers.

Sarah and Family,
We have the greatest memory of Deacon John is Alyssa Marie's Baptism and him letting her brother help pour the water on her. I believe that started the bond that they share today. God is blessed to receive your angel.

Sarah. Your children and Grandchildren. My heart is heavy at this news. In my memory ... you are always 'Sarah and John'. Hopefully that is OK. (smile). We shared special times in our young lives. They will always be treasured memories in my mind. Often visited. Thanks be to God ... John, Bob and MJ are in glory together ... grinning at each other! Much love to each of you
Saddened to hear of John's passing. Remember John as a very capable and caring man. Prayers for Peace and Comfort for Sarah and your Beautiful Family.
I never met John, but his daughter Laura shared many memories of his life. May God give you all strength through this time of loss and grief. Prayers are with you all. Shawn Buskirk

To Mrs. Dumschat & family, We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Deacon John. What a wonderful Deacon he was! We, especially our children, loved all of his stories. Years ago, when my oldest were 8 & 9, Deacon John would walk by the house, on his way to morning Mass, and would stop to tell us stories and on his way home he would stay a little bit longer telling us some more! He always had such a warm smile on his face! He baptized our 3rd child & had us laughing right up until the ceremony. He is at peace now. May God give all you strength & may his soul rest in peace.
Dear Sarah and family, words cannot express the depth of feelings that run through our minds in times of loss of a loved one. John surely was called home to his special place by our Lord, it was his time, his given work complete, any pain and suffering ended. Now he has an eternal presence to continue to love all of youl with the deepest and eternal love that comes with his soul moving to be with his creator. We pray for your family. We share in your feelings of loss. May the peace of our Lord be with you and bring you strength. Frank J. Cann & family
I worked with John for several years in Rutgers Cooperative Extension. He was always such a caring, understanding and soft spoken man. I respected him and thoroughly enjoyed his company. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wonderful wife Sarah and their children. Ann Rhinesmith
